The spokesperson for Popular Renewal, Jorge Montoyaindicated that there are points in common with the parliamentary group of Peru Libre, after holding a dialogue in promotion of the candidacy of Gladys Echaíz for the Board of Directors of the Congress in the period 2022-2023. The legislator —in statements to La República— advanced that, up to now, they have met with seven benches with a view to the election this Tuesday, July 26.
“There are no agreements with Peru Libre, but we have met with them. From the dialogue we found common points that were evident in the first legislature, so it is not that we are against communism or that we are communist, but that we are only dialoguing because we made the open invitation for all the benches to come to have a common agenda. We are not interested in where the votes come from,” the spokesperson for Renovación Popular told this medium.
Jorge Montoya also described as a “lack of respect” the invitation made by Hernando Guerra to Gladys Echaíz in giving him the vice presidency that corresponds to Fuerza Popular on the list led by congresswoman Lady Camones.

“Lack of tune. Lack of respect for Dr. Gladys Echaíz. She has been on that side and they never mentioned that proposal to her, so they have waited for her to make her candidacy official to just invite her. That is a lack of respect”, said Montoya.
Along these lines, the congressman expressed that from his bench, they have invited Fuerza Popular to dialogue and support Echaíz’s candidacy for the Board of Directors.
“We have invited Fuerza Popular because our idea is clear to call all groups to dialogue and that it be democratic, but it is up to them if they want to be part of the proposal,” he said.

the congresswoman Gladys Echaiz questioned the invitation extended to him by the spokesman for Fuerza Popular, Hernando Guerra García, who asked him to join the Board of Directors, occupying the place of the third vice presidency that corresponds to the Fujimori parliamentary group with the list of the legislator Lady Camones (APP).
“Well, I don’t know with what intention (Hernando Guerra) they are making the invitation, I made my invitation early to all the democratic caucuses that want to join this project (my candidacy). (…) I did it publicly, through a press conference”, declared the congresswoman to The Republic.
