The former Minister of Defense, Jorge Chávez Cresta, is accused by his ex-partner Tamara Gutiérrez Mendoza of alleged physical abuse and violent eviction on January 10 in Chorrillos with the help of members of the Peruvian National Police (PNP).
Gutiérrez Mendoza indicated that he will deliver a USB to the police authorities where videos, audios and photographs are recorded, as well as the protection measures that have not been enforced. “I am going to attach all the evidence of what happened on Friday, when these people illegally took my wallet that is in my position”reported in Exitosa.
He states that Chávez Cresta is an aggressive person because he would have violated her by throwing objects at her, pushing her down the stairs and also exercising psychological violence.
However, the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter) rejected the events that occurred on its X account (formerly Twitter). “The Ministry rejects and strongly condemns the events that occurred against Mrs. Tamara Gutiérrez and regrets that the retired general of the Peruvian Army, Jorge Chávez Cresta, is allegedly involved”it reads.
He also noted that the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Peru will investigate to find those allegedly responsible. “The alleged inaction of the police officers who were present in the violent eviction with subsequent attacks”.
DISCHARGE
Former Minister Jorge Chávez denied a violent eviction and stressed that the home is his property. He decided to break the silence to exercise his right to defense to clarify the facts.
“I entered my home in an ambulance in a delicate state of health, at a time when no one was there, as stated in the incident report prepared by the PNP. (…) It is totally false that any type of violent action has been carried out or that police personnel have come to carry out any violent eviction,” ended.
