The young woman was upset that what she does for a living has become more relevant than her partner’s sad outcome.
News Colombia.
Jois Ramirezgirlfriend of Kevin Bocanegra, the young man who died on December 31, 2024 during an excursion in Nevado del Tolima, has responded to the criticism she has received on social networks. After sharing her testimony about the circumstances of her partner’s death, some Internet users have accused her of monetizing the tragedy due to her work on adult content platforms.
In a video published on his social networks, Ramírez expressed his dissatisfaction with the negative comments, emphasizing that his occupation has no relation to the tragedy he experienced. ““I think that my work right now is not the focus, I think that is not the important topic that they should be talking about,” he stated.
“I work at what I work and that is not the important thing here… I am not ashamed of my work,” he added.
Furthermore, he clarified that his intention in sharing his story was not to obtain financial benefits: “I am not monetizing with the death of my partner. “I had the biggest loss of my life at that moment.”
Ramírez also highlighted that her partner, Kevin Bocanegra, always supported her in her profession and never felt embarrassed about it. “I already had social networks before I met Kevin, and he was always proud of me”he pointed out. Likewise, he called for empathy and respect, rejecting prejudices towards his work and emphasizing that his personal life goes beyond what he shows on digital platforms.
Jois’s mother, Julieth Ordóñez, also spoke out about the attacks received, denouncing the verbal violence that the family has suffered. “I can’t believe how far you guys have come… I hope this doesn’t take the life of anyone else out of hate, sadness, anguish and much less out of desperation.”he wrote on his social networks.
Here are the young woman’s statements:
I agree with Jois. Your work should not downplay the real focus, which was the negligence that occurred in the park with Kevin’s death. They are re-victimizing the naked woman in her grieving process, more empathy please 🙏 pic.twitter.com/A2XQD8pVWj

The tragedy occurred during an excursion organized by the Transparamo Viva Vivir Vivo agency, led by Óscar Apolinar, Bocanegra’s cousin. According to Ramírez’s story, Kevin showed symptoms of discomfort from the beginning of the tour, which were dismissed by the guide. As they progressed, his condition worsened, leading to seizures and, finally, cardiorespiratory arrest.
Simón Moreno, head of the Los Nevados National Natural Park, indicated that the agency and the guide were not officially registered, and that there was no information about the intention to ascend to the summit of Nevado del Tolima. In addition, he pointed out that a person with symptoms of respiratory diseases should not carry out this type of activities and that it is the guide’s responsibility to activate medical insurance in case of emergencies, which, according to Ramírez, did not happen.
Ramírez called to reflect on the safety conditions in activities of high physical demand and risk, such as mountaineering. “This should serve to ensure that others are better informed before undertaking this type of activity, because if something happens there will be no helicopters or effective aid that will arrive in time,” he warned.
The family of Kevin Bocanegra has asked the competent authorities to investigate the agency and the guide responsible for the excursion, in order to clarify the circumstances that led to the death of the young mountaineer and prevent similar situations from being repeated in the future.
