EL DEBER, the main media in Bolivia, and the regional platform CONNECTAS launch a fundraising campaign that will help strengthen the journalistic capacity of the South American media, under strict standards of quality, ethics and independence.

It is about this opportunity that we launched this innovative strategy which begins today, and which closes on December 10. The newspaper EL DEBER, with more than 70 years of existence and as the main digital media in Bolivia for 26, and CONNECTAS, a pioneering platform and leader in the region in journalistic collaboration, carry out the first campaign of this type, in which invites everyone who believes and is interested in supporting quality journalism to join in with their contributions that will be used to produce more information and analysis on the challenges facing the country.
The invitation is to support more verified informationwhich allows citizens to make better decisions and break the gaps. That’s why the name of the campaign: “THE DUTY is to support independent journalism, join freely.”

This campaign is part of the “PeriodismoDeValor” initiative of the ARCCO.info organization, which joins as an articulator of human, technical and methodological resources, to guarantee that the main destination of the contributions collected be the production of quality journalistic piecestruthful and independent, on key issues for the democratic strengthening of Bolivia. It is to open a great information forum for Bolivians inside and outside the borders.
