Johny Espino on his friendship with Yenifer Paredes: "I have not benefited in any way"

Johnny Espino, friend of Yenifer Paredesand investigated for alleged favoring in the award of works with the State, assured that he has not obtained benefits due to his closeness to the president’s sister-in-law peter castle. However, he revealed that the meetings with the sister of the first lady at the Government Palace were to discuss labor issues.

In an interview with the Punto Final program, the engineer rejected the accusations against him. “I have nothing to hide, I am here to reject everything that is being talked about. I have not benefited in any way from that friendship,” he maintained.

He assured that in the images broadcast in which he is seen next to Yenifer Paredes in Chadín, in Cajamarca, “there is neither work nor tender.” He explained that he was invited by the mayor to “see the need in the area and present him with an economic proposal to prepare a technical file.”

He said that he has known the president’s sister-in-law since 2019, when he worked in the municipality of Anguía, and it was she who gave his phone to the mayor of Chadín.

HIRED YENIFER

Espino pointed out that he verbally hired Yenifer Paredes in his company to carry out support work on documentation, registration and signing of minutes.

“There is no physical contract, (but) there are payments for support in certain activities,” he said.

MEETINGS IN PALACE

At another time, the person investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office told what he was talking about with the first lady’s sister at the Government Palace.

“In the Palace I met with Yenifer. (We deal with) friendship and work issues. We saw coordination of documents. She lives in Chugur, so the coordination had to be done at the residence. I also have friendship with the children (of the president). She was chatting with them at the residence,” she reported.
