Santo Domingo.- The new secretary general of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Johnny Pujols assumed his duties with the expectation of working to bring the political organization to the government.
At the event, the outgoing secretary general, Charles Mariotti, invited his successor to “walk with a sense of body so that everyone feels included, promoting party unity and cohesion” and promote political organization as a party with closely open doors. linked to the people, in their demands and dreams.
Mariotti delivered a written message to Pujols, who this Wednesday assumed the General Secretary of the PLD after the victory achieved in the elections on October 29.

“My dearest and appreciated Johnny, Dominican society is becoming more demanding every day and increasing its quality standards regarding the role of institutions, especially political parties. “The PLD has this great responsibility before Dominican society, and I am sure that we will assume it successfully,” he said.
In his letter, Charles Mariotti refers to the difficulties he had to face in his role as Secretary General, “however, those turbulences never daunted me, because trust in my colleagues encouraged me not to give up; The great legacy left by our Party to the Dominican people, in its government efforts, raised my morale; and faith in the future of our country constantly inspired me,” he noted.
“Today, at the end of the period that I assumed as the General Secretariat of the Dominican Liberation Party, I hand this over to my colleague Johnny Pujols, with the peace of mind of knowing that I am leaving it in good hands,” said Charles Mariotti as he passed the command of the General Secretariat to Pujols.
