Santo Domingo.-The Secretary General of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Johnny Pujols, confirmed Wednesday that the former president Danilo Medina He has plans to resume his interaction with the media in the coming months.

When questioned about the low public presence of Medina in recent times, Pujols explained that the ex -president has planned to be reactivated in the media field, in line with a series of tours initiated the previous year, where the press had the opportunity to dialogue directly with he.
“Last year we began a series of tours where the participation of the media was allowed, and the president offered several statements. This year, we reiterate that he intends to return to the media, ”Pujols said during his participation in the weekly lunch of the Corripio Communications Group.
The PLD leader clarified that the presence of Medina in public acts and in front of the media had been postponed until the end of the electoral process for the choice of new holders in the secretariats of the party.
However, he stressed that Medina is not expected to become constantly involved in interviews or press conferences, since “we know the weight of his statements and he is very cautious about it.”
“It is not his style in the media for any reason, he is very careful about what he will say and we must respect that style,” Pujols concluded.
