José Ángel Gómez Canáan (Jochi), accused in the Operation Chameleonis interrogated for the fourth time this Monday at the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in relation to the assumption fraud to the State through a contract of 1,317 million pesos to modernize the traffic light network of Greater Santo Domingo.
A source linked to the investigation confirmed to Free Diary that he interrogation is being carried out by the head of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Corruption (Pepca), Wilson Camacho and the Director of Prosecution of the Public Ministry, Yeni Berenice Reynoso.
Gómez has appeared without being seen by the cameras of the press and according to the source, it has been introduced to the headquarters of the Public Ministry through another restricted area.
Gómez’s appearance occurs at the same time that prosecutors of the prosecuting body they question to former Minister of Defense Rubén Darío Paulino Sem, for the same case.

The Pepca indicates that Gómez Canaán, through his companies Aurix and Transcore Latam, controlled fraudulent traffic light systems and surveillance.
