If the employed population in the Dominican Republic is segmented by branch of economic activity, men and women have a different representation, each one dominating in certain areas and in others there is a greater balance.
As of the third quarter of 2021 (the latest statistics reported by the Central Bank on the subject), there was an employed population aged 15 or over that amounted to 4,598,409 people, 59.57% male and 40.42% female.
