João Fonseca once again proved that 2025 will be a special year. Days after ending 2024 with winning the Next Gen ATP Finals, the Brazilian tennis player defeated the North American Ethan Quinn by 2 sets to 0 (double 6/4), in the early hours of this Saturday (4), to guarantee the Challenger 125 title from Canberra (Australia).
The competition held in Canberra is one of the preparatory tournaments for the Australian Open, Grand Slam in which João Fonseca will participate in the qualifying starting next Monday (6).

On December 22, 2024, the 18-year-old Brazilian tennis player won, in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), the title of the Next Gen ATP Finals, a competition that since 2017 has brought together the eight best tennis players aged up to 20 on the world circuit. The Brazilian athlete achieved the feat by defeating North American Learnen Tien by 3 sets to 1 (2/4, 4/3, 4/0 and 4/2).
