The National Jury of Elections (JNE) decided to suspend the registration of the electoral alliance made up of Now nation (AN) and the party Let’s save Peru due to internal procedures to be resolved. The resolution, issued on August 11, 2025, indicates that the measure will be maintained “until it is previously completed with the qualification of the application for registration of various directors of the political party Save Peru and subsequently, it is completed with the qualification of the application for modification of the statute of the political party we save Peru.”
That is, the JNE cannot evaluate the registration of the alliance until we save Peru officially register certain managers and resolve pending changes in its statute. Without those previous steps, the agency has no legal basis to approve the agreement that gave rise to the Alliance.

Likewise, the JNE warned that in the act that approves the formation of the alliance “is signed by two citizens whose permanence in office is in qualification” and gave a period of ten business days to correct, so the alliance cannot yet be registered.
Now, with the electoral schedule that sets on September 1 as the deadline for the registration of alliances, the resolution practically unable that the registration of now nation – to save Peru is completed before closing.

It should be remembered that the president of the party Let’s save PeruGuillermo Antenor Suárez Flores, presented on August 2 a document before the National Jury of Elections to communicate the institutional decision of not participating in electoral alliances for the general elections 2026, which evidenced the internal disputes within that political organization.
However, on August 7, the JNE declared inadmissible all the requests and withdrawal submitted by Suárez Flores, in determining that it lacks legitimacy to act in the name of the political organization.
The electoral body concluded that said faculty corresponds only to the registered legal personnel, Julio César Gamboa Cerna, Therefore, they were left without procedures related to the registration of managers, modifications to the statute and the designation of members in party bodies, among others.
