He National Election Jury (JNE) presented the first civic mural of the campaign “Choose well for Peru; informed vote“ at a renowned university in the capital.
The initiative seeks to offer clear, objective and accessible information about the candidates, parties, government plans and electoral processes for the next general elections.
The president of the JNERoberto Burneo, stated that this is a decisive action, since access to reliable data will strengthen citizen participation in the elections.
He also pointed out that these types of campaigns contribute to democratic strengthening and, above all, promote greater awareness – especially – among the youngest.
“Democracy is defended with actions and not with words,” said the head of the National Election Juryby emphasizing that the country deserves a prosperous and orderly future.
Let us remember that, in the 2026 elections2.5 million young people will vote for the first time, so knowing the candidates is essential to avoid improvised decisions.
