JNE observes leftist alliance we will beat Bermejo and Alanoca

Does the coalition fall? The National Jury of Elections (JNE) has formulated three observations to the Left Alliance called Venceremos, made up of the New Peru parties, Vicente Alanoca, and voices of the people, by Guillermo Bermejo.

The objections were notified to the Alliance on Tuesday 5 and include: the lack of a formal call in one of the integral parties, the absence of mandatory certificates and the similarity of the symbol with that of the green movement of Ucayali, an organization already registered.

Resolution of the JNE observations to the alliance we will overcome.

The JNE has granted a period of 10 calendar days to subs have the observations.

Ever León, general secretary of New Peru for the Good Living – one of the parties that make up the alliance – told Peru21 which are already working to raise the objections indicated by the electoral entity.

“From Venceremos we have received the notification of the JNE and we consider that all the observations that have been made to our file are easily rectible. Our legal team has already been working on that and we are sure that in the next few days the alliance will be fully recognized,” León explained.

The history of registration

The application for registration was submitted on August 2 by Vladimir Horacio León Vidal, the holder’s legal personnel, before the National Directorate of Registration of Political Organizations (DNROP) of the JNE.

The documentation was evaluated in accordance with the Law of Political Organizations (Law No. 28094) and to the Regulation of the Registry of Political Organizations, approved by Resolution No. 108-2025-JNE.

After analysis, the DNROP issued a resolution formally observing the application and identifying three points that must be corrected. According to the regulation, the alliance has a period of ten calendar days, counted from the day following the notification, to raise the observations.

That same August 2, the Popular Unity Party, led by Debelí Rodríguez, could not adhere to the Alliance because its registration was completed after April 12, official deadline for the registration of political parties.

What are the observations?

According to JNE resolution, three objections have been formulated:

1) Lack of formal call in one of the parties

The New Peru Party for the Good Living, which integrates the Alliance, did not present the official call to the session of its National Political Commission of July 30, 2025, where its participation in Venceremos was approved. The Statute of the Party requires that the call be notified at least 24 hours in advance of all members. DNROP could not verify compliance with that requirement.

2) Lack of presentation of certificates

The second observation refers to the absence of mandatory certificates required to validate the information presented in the file. The resolution does not publicly detail what documents are missing.

3) Similarity of the symbol with another already registered

The symbol chosen by Venceremos presents a noticeable similarity with that of the green movement of Ucayali, registered since March 2023. This violates article 6 of the Law of Political Organizations, which prohibits the use of denominations or symbols equal to or similar to those of organizations already registered, by risk of confusion.

What the Alliance should do

To overcome the observations, the JNE has specified the following steps:

-In the case of the first observation, you must present a legalized copy of the call to the internal session of New Peru.

-For the second, you must send the omitted certificates.

-In for the third, the alliance must modify its symbol by means of an extending act and also present it in digital format, in accordance with the technical specifications of the regulation.

Will the electoral filter exceed or are left?

The registration of Venceremos is still at stake. Compliance with the deadline and correction of the observations will determine if the alliance manages to formalize its participation in the 2026 general elections.

And they are not alone in this counterreloj race. In parallel, the JNE has also observed the application for registration of another left -wing coalition: the Front of Workers and Entrepreneurs, composed of first people and the party of workers and entrepreneurs (PTE).

In ten days you will know who is still standing.

Is a cup coming?

At the close of this note, the National Secretary of Organization of Avanza País, Martín Barrantes, told Peru21 that his party will evaluate in an upcoming plenary to present a cup – as he did before, leaving out of the race to Up, Apu and Runa -, considering that this alliance represents a danger to democracy for its ideological closeness with Pedro Castillo.

Will they do it again?
