The National Election Jury (JNE) has launched the campaign “Let’s build together the commitments of the Electoral Pact” for the General Elections 2026inviting citizens to propose the commitments that candidates and political organizations must make during the next campaign.
The Electoral Ethical Pact (PEE) is a voluntary agreement whose objective is to guarantee that the process develops in a peaceful, clean, transparent and purposeful manner, based on democratic values.
How and when to participate?
Citizens will be able to present their commitment proposals from Thursday, October 9 to Friday, October 17. Virtually, proposals can be sent through the free-access virtual form: https://forms.gle/7DnvfdBbtxf4u2tv9, available on the Informed Vote portal (https://votoinformado.jne.gob.pe) and on the JNE social networks. In person it will be through the facilitators and promoters of the Informed Vote Program (FIVI) of the JNE, who will collect the proposals directly in the regions, as part of their educational activities.
The JNE expects that citizen proposals will revolve around fundamental thematic axes for a quality campaign, which include electoral integrity, transparency, inclusive participation without discrimination, debates and programmatic agendas, and political harassment and violence.
The electoral body stressed that it is essential that the electorate be part of this construction process so that the Pact reflects citizen expectations about the ethical and democratic behavior of political actors, contributing to the casting of an informed vote in the 2026 Elections.
