Masista deputy Ányelo Céspedes announced that, due to the “inability” of the mayor of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Jhonny Fernández, to manage for the benefit of his region, he will initiate a call for a referendum to revoke his mandate.
“I am going to start the campaign to recall Jhonny Fernándezbecause this authority demonstrated its inability to manage, its work is worse than that of (former mayor Angélica) Sosa, “said the deputy.
He indicated that next Monday he will go to the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) in order to gather the necessary requirements and know the number of signatures necessary to start the process.
Céspedes described as “shameful” the handling of municipal management by Fernández, since in his electoral campaign He said that he would not work with the companies that signed contracts with his predecessorAngélica Sosa, but she is doing the opposite.
“Jhonny said that he was never going to work with the companies that Angélica Sosa worked with, but it is extending the contracts with those firms, because it is working with the old thread of Sosa’s management”, he asserted, referring to the extension of the contract with Vega Solví.
The assemblyman anticipated that request a written report on the contract with the garbage collection company and he did not rule out that Fernández and Sosa had made a pact so that the former mayor does not implicate the current mayor in acts of corruption.
