According to information disclosed in the Weekly magazine, Leal was investigated for a homicide that occurred on November 16, 2008 in Valle del Cauca.

For this reason, The Prosecutor’s Office opened a process for being the alleged culprit and for attempted escape, but currently the process appears inactive.

It should be remembered that for the murder of his brother and his mother, at the time, the The Attorney General’s Office charged him with the crimes of aggravated homicide (due to kinship, due to the state of defenselessness and cruelty) and concealment, alteration or destruction of material evidence.

As part of the pre-agreement, a sentence of 330 months in prison (27 years and six months) was agreed, in addition to a fine of 200 current minimum monthly wages and disability to exercise public rights for the same time that he will be deprived of liberty.

The sentence must be served in a prison provided by the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute (Inpec).
