The nation’s budget for the year 2025 is a planning instrument created to consolidate the country’s productive recovery and to strengthen the social protection system created by Commander Chávez, assured the president of the Assembly’s permanent commission on economy and finance. “This will be a budget of the People’s Power. It will be Commander Chávez’s budget and it will also be the budget that begins a new cycle in the political, social and economic life of our country. The cycle of suffering as a product of the blockade has closed and now a new cycle of development, deployment, and well-being is opening, despite the economic blockade,” Faría highlighted during the presentation of the Budget Bill for the 2025 Financial Year. made by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.
In this sense, the deputy highlighted that discussion of this new bill has been possible thanks to the victory of the Venezuelan people against imperialism and fascism. “Without that victory, Venezuela would be in absolute chaos and could not be debating a Law that concentrates all efforts on the development of the prosperity of the people,” he highlighted.
Damage caused by the blockade
Likewise, during his speech before the plenary session of the AN, Faría highlighted that the economic blockade imposed by imperialism on our country, since 2017, has brought losses of more than 200,000 million dollars, causing a deterioration in the living conditions of the town.
“The blockade continues to cause damage, limiting the capacity for the full development of our country. However, it no longer prevents our economy from growing. Venezuela will close 2024 as one of the countries in the world with the greatest growth,” Faría highlighted.
Likewise, he highlighted that by the year 2024 Venezuela had double the income compared to the year 2023. In this sense, he highlighted that the majority of these resources were allocated to address social issues.
In this sense, he emphasized that the economic growth obtained has been important to reestablish “the powerful system of social protection” that Commander Chavez created and that was almost demolished by the economic aggression of imperialism.
