The president of the Council of Ministers, José Jeríled a multi-sector technical table to address the main needs of the province of Purús, in the Ucayali region, with the aim of coordinating immediate actions in favor of the population and strengthening the presence of the State in this border area of the country.
During the meeting, regional and local authorities and representatives of various sectors of the Executive participated, who addressed priority issues such as health, connectivity, education, security and emergency response.
The meeting made it possible to articulate inter-institutional efforts and establish commitments to close historical gaps that affect the communities of Purús.
As part of his working visit, the head of the PCM supervised the delivery of humanitarian aid to families affected by the rains, which included food and essential goods, in coordination with the Regional Government of Ucayali and local authorities.
Jerí highlighted the importance of maintaining coordinated and permanent work between the central government and subnational governments to guarantee the comprehensive development of the most remote areas of the country, underlining that Purús is a priority within the strategy for attention to border regions.
