Father Francisco de Roux, who served as president of the Truth Commission, assured that the extradited drug trafficker and former head of the Clan del Golfo Dairo Antonio Úsuga, alias Otoniel should have an opportunity to eventually submit to the Special Jurisdiction for La Paz (JEP).
According to Roux’s father alias Otoniel has a lot of information and if he is not heard, the country loses that truth without which peace cannot be made in Colombia.
“It is very important, because a man like Otoniel knows a lot of things, The problem with his leaving is that the country loses that truth and without that truth, peace cannot be made in Colombia,” he said.

Mancuso has many truths to tell
In the same way, Father Francisco de Roux highlighted the JEP’s decision to convene a public hearing with the victims of former paramilitary chief Salvatore Mancuso, in order to define their eventual submission before this special tribunal.
He pointed out that Mancuso will have to resolve many substantive questions once he appears before the JEP, such as, for example, who were the politicians with whom he was in these operations?.
Likewise, you will have to tell the magistratesWhich military or police were involved with these criminal actions?

He added that “If the framework in these things is not known, it is impossible to be able to solve them, the problem is not the gunman but the deep network”.
The JEP magistrates also opened the door to the former paramilitary leader Rodrigo Tovar Pupo, alias Jorge 40 so that in a hearing with the presence of the victims their eventual submission in exchange for the full truth is defined.
