He indicated that pederasty is the act of committing the crime of sexual abuse towards a child, but there is no physical profile of the pedophile, of the sexual aggressor.

The psychologist, family therapist and founder of the Fundación Unidos por la Niñez (FUN), Jennie Barb, gave us insights to recognize the profiles of those criminals or sexual aggressors that mark the lives of so many children and adolescents.

He explained that the sexual aggressor can seem like a normal person, he can come from any sociocultural level, race, education, and not all sexual offenders are pedophiles, clarifying that pedophilia refers to a psychiatric pathology, his behavior is uncontrollable.

He indicated that pederasty is the act of committing the crime of sexual abuse towards a child, but there is no physical profile of the pedophile, of the sexual aggressor.

“They have very little empathy and inability to establish emotionally intimate relationships with other adults, pedophiles or sexual offenders lack affection and attention, they were generally sexually abused as children,” he said.
