The Special Electoral Jury (JEE) of Lima Centro declared inadmissible the registration of the lists of candidates who presented the Purple Party Y Free Peru for mayor of Lima in the next Regional and Municipal Elections.
Through a resolution, the JEE declared inadmissible the request to replace the candidate for councilor Lisseth Meléndez Vargas, who had previously resigned from the Purple Party list, by the citizen Elsa Almendra Rodríguez Valverde.
As detailed, the organization requested to change Meléndez for Rodríguez on June 17, when the deadline for making this type of modification was the 14th of the same month.

For this reason, the electoral body decided to declare inadmissible “the application for registration of the list of candidates for the Provincial Municipality of Lima, presented by Mr. Henry Jarek Tello Godoy, head legal representative of national scope of the political organization Morado Party”.
Likewise, the Central Lima JEE declared the list of candidates for Peru Libre inadmissible, after the candidates for aldermen Zaira Arias Berrocal and Noel Jaimes Tarazona denounced that their signatures were forged to make them participate in the elections.
For this reason, it was decided to declare inadmissible “the request for registration of the list of candidates for the Provincial Municipality of Lima, presented by Mr. José Bernardo Garro Díaz, legal representative of the political organization Partido Politico Nacional Perú Libre”.
Likewise, the resolution indicated that the case will be sent to the Public Ministry so that it can act in accordance with its powers, in reference to the facts denounced for the alleged forgery of signatures and use of personal data without consent.
