Former President Jeanine Áñez demanded his immediate release this Sunday nightafter former president Evo Morales admitted that he proposed, in agreement with current Government authorities, an ordinary trial and not a trial of responsibilities to judge the former head of State for the 2019 crisis.

“What does the President of the Supreme Court of Justice say regarding this de facto intervention in his jurisdiction by Evo Morales? I demand your pronouncement and my immediate freedom from such a situation. scoundrel, typical of dictatorzuelos cruelty against me,” Áñez expressed through her social networks.

He also asked the international community and democratic governments “speak out and take action in response to Evo’s public declaration Morales, who confesses that, in his capacity as head of the political party that governs Bolivia, the Judicial Branch is simply a formal instrument to which a group of sociopaths dictates who to kidnap, imprison and condemn.

What exactly did Evo Morales say?

In his Sunday radio program, Morales said that he had meetings in Sacaba, Cochabamba, with the Unity Pact, President Luis Arce, Vice President David Choquehuanca and that sometimes the Minister of the Presidency, María Nela Prada, was also present; the Minister of Justice, Iván Lima; and the Minister of Defense, Edmundo Novillo.

“We all said: it is an ordinary process. David failed because he had no argument to defend regarding the liability trial. Later, (there was) another meeting and the president and vice president were convinced, only Iván was left with a judgment of responsibilities. Iván threatened me: Evo, you may have problems in the future regarding the ordinary process, of course, I obviously raised it, but everyone (…) raised it, we have all agreed“, said.

Lima, after having resigned a few days ago from the position of Minister of Justice, assured that the ordinary trial against Áñez is a “whim” of Morales.

Former President Áñez has been detained since March 2021 and in her message this Sunday she indicated that she has been deprived of liberty for 1,301 days “because it occurred to the pedophile and criminal Evo Morales.”

Morales is currently being investigated for a case of alleged rape and human trafficking because, when he was president, he allegedly impregnated a 15-year-old minor.
