They expect the judge to postpone the case again at today’s hearing.
The lawyers of the defense of the former attorney general of the Dominican Republic, jean alain rodriguezinvolved in the jellyfish caseassured this Monday upon arrival at the courtroom that need at least a year to be able to review all the documents that the Public ministry support their accusation.
“We need at least a year to read six million…that’s six million pages; We have even found that there are some unnecessary files with half-naked women,” said Carlos Balcácer, Jean Alain’s main lawyer.
Balcácer also reported that they will wait for the 18 months of preventive detention that were imposed on Jean Alain Rodríguez as a measure of coercion for the Medusa case, which expires this coming December 29, to apply for the extension.

What about the Jean Alain file files
The lawyer also assured that many of the digital files delivered to Jean Alain’s defense could not be opened by his team, which has made it difficult to access them and consequently establish an adequate defense strategy.
“The Public Ministry has insisted that this does not start… history repeats itself, there are files that look empty. We raised an instance to the judge so that he had control of the situation. The PEPCA file opens but ours does not open, neither Jean Alain’s nor one that they provided us ».
He also added that approximately 30 pieces of evidence were discarded by the former prosecutor’s team.
