JCE will distribute RD$1,620 million from the State among political parties in 2026

JCE distribuirá RD$1,620 millones del Estado entre partidos políticos este 2026

Santo Domingo.- The Central Electoral Board (JCE) reported this Friday the distribution of RD$1,620 million corresponding to the economic contribution of the State to the partiesgroups and political movements for the year 2026according to the results obtained in the 2024 general election.

According to Resolution No. 01-2026 of the JCE, 80% of that amount, equivalent to RD$1,296 million, will be allocated to the three majority parties, while the remaining 20% ​​will be distributed among the other recognized political organizations that met the legal requirements.

Heads the assignment Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), which with the 46.47% of valid votes will receive RD$432 million during the period January-December 2026.

In second place is the People’s Force Party (FP), with a 18.69% of the votesto which also corresponds an annual allocation of RD$432 million.

The majority group is completed by Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), which obtained the 16.69% of the vote and will also receive RD$432 million.

The PRM, Fuerza del Pueblo and the PLD will be the parties that will receive the greatest contribution.

Distribution for medium and minority parties

He 12% of public financingequivalent to RD$194.4 millionwill be distributed among the parties that reached between 1% and less than 5% of valid votes, which is equivalent to about RD$38,880,000.00 for the five games that reached that category.

While the remaining 8%some RD$129.6 millionwill be distributed among organizations with a vote of less than 1%, but that retained their legal status.

In this last group, the majority of parties and movements will receive RD$3,927,272.73 a yeardelivered in equal monthly installments, as long as they meet the requirements established by the JCE.

Monthly delivery and under strict conditions

The resolution, dated January 15, 2026, provides that the funds will be delivered monthlyin twelve equal installments, and its disbursement is conditional on the fulfillment of various obligationsamong them: deposit of the annual budget and work programs before the General Secretariat of the JCE. Detailed reporting of income and expensesup to six months after the close of the fiscal year.

Likewise, management of public financing in a single bank accountseparated from other sources of resources and the implementation of accounting and internal control systems that allow oversight of the use of funds.

The JCE warned that failure to comply with these provisions may cause the withholding or suspension of resources, as well as the return of unjustified amounts to the Treasury Single Account.

Supervision of public financing will be the responsibility of the Specialized Directorate of Financial Control of the Partiesthe JCE body responsible for verifying that resources are used in accordance with Law 33-18.
