The husband of singer Beyoncé denied the accusations from the moment he was involved in the case.
He Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, called sexual assault allegations against rapper and music producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs “false.” The complaint was filed by a woman, who under the pseudonym Jane Doe, claimed that both artists sexually assaulted her in 2000, when she was 13 years old.
During a meeting with journalists at the offices of the music production company Roc Nation in New Yorkthe lawyer defended his client’s innocence, pointing out that the lawsuit is unfounded. “This is all a fantasy.”he stated, ensuring that they expect the case to be dismissed or, failing that, its collapse due to the lack of consistent evidence.

“None of the details are correct because this never happened,” Spiro said. “When something isn’t real and when something doesn’t happen, you’re going to get the details wrong when you tell it because you weren’t really there,” he added.
In his intervention, the lawyer showed a presentation that reconstructed the chronology of the events indicated in the complaint and showed, according to him, contradictions in the plaintiff’s version.

Jane Doe’s complaint alleges that after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, she was taken in a limousine to a party at a white house filled with celebrities. According to her story, she was offered a drink that made her feel dizzy and disoriented.
In that state, she was taken to a room where Jay-Z and Combs allegedly entered and sexually assaulted her. The woman claims Combs raped her while Jay-Z and another unidentified woman watched.
This is the first time that Jay-Z’s name has been mentioned in the lawsuit, since the initial indictment filed last October pointed only to Combs. Jay-Z, husband of singer Beyoncé, denied the accusations from the moment he was involved in the case.
Lawyer Spiro took advantage of the meeting with the press to highlight that the plaintiff herself admitted having made errors in her initial story. In an interview with NBC News, Jane Doe acknowledged some inconsistencies in her story but maintained the sexual assault allegation against Carter and Combs.
The case adds to a series of dprevious lawsuits against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who faces more than a hundred complaints for coercion, sexual abuse, kidnapping, physical attacks, and arson. In all of these cases, Combs has declared his innocence.
