Javier Milei arrives in Uruguay for his first Mercosur summit and will speak at the ADM event

The meeting will take place on Friday and Saturday at the headquarters of the regional bloc on Parque Rodó Rambla, Montevideo.

The president’s agenda will begin on Friday at noon with his participation as an honorary speaker at the lunch organized by the Association of Marketing Leaders (ADM). The event takes place in the Ballroom of the Radisson hotel in Plaza Independencia at 12:00, according to the institution.

This will be the first time that Milei participates in a Mercosur summit, after having been questioned last July for his absence at the meeting held in Asunción, Paraguay. On that occasion, his decision generated criticism from the presidents of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou.

The summit in Montevideo will be attended by several leaders from the region, including Lula da Silva, the Paraguayan Santiago Peña, the Bolivian Luis Arce and the Panamanian José Raúl Mulino.
