Former General Commander of the Peruvian National Police General (r) javier gallardo turned himself in to justice after giving an interview to a television medium. The former officer was required by the Judiciary after he was given 10 days of preliminary detention for the alleged irregular promotions in the institution in 2021, a case for which the Special Team against Corruption in Power charges him with the alleged crimes of criminal organization and improper passive bribery.
“I put myself upright to collaborate with justice as I have always done,” Gallardo said moments before entering a police vehicle.
