A man identified as Sergio Jesús Castro Rodríguez (26) was sentenced to 35 years in effective prison for the crime against sexual freedom to the detriment of a 12 -year -old school, in the district of Apata, Jauja province.

According to the fiscal investigation, the incident occurred on March 12, 2024, when the defendant intercepted the minor at the exit of his school and, with deception, took it to an isolated area near the Paucar bridge of Río Seco, where he forced her to meet her demands under threats with a cutter.

The ruling was issued by the First Transitional Criminal Court Sub -specialized in crimes associated with violence against women and the members of the Huancayo family group, after the provincial prosecutor Fredy Collas Oré presented evidence that confirmed the responsibility of the defendant, who served as a glassmaker.
This sentence adds to the 27 years in jail that Castro Rodríguez already fulfills for another case in June 2024 in Muquiyauyo, where the victim was a 14 -year -old teenager. Likewise, the defendant faces other complaints in investigation in Huancayo, Cajas and Jauja, which could lead to new sentences.
The court also ordered that the defendant pay 15 thousand soles as civil reparation in favor of the victim.
