Jassir, a member of the Cochala Youth Resistance, asks to undergo an abbreviated process and denounces that it was used and abandoned

The leader of the Cochala Youth Resistance (RJC), Jassir Molina, presented a memorial to the Attorney General of the State, Juan Lanchipa, to ask him to submit to an abbreviated procedurein which he will assume his responsibility for the crimes he is accused of to be sentenced by justice.

“I am very upset and disappointed by the actions of many people who have only benefited and who not only use us, but abandon us. It was never for the benefit of someone in particular”, says part of the letter written by the leader of the RJC, who is in preventive detention in the San Pedro de Oruro prison,

Jassir indicates that the RJC “is not a criminal group” and says that this movement was used by private persons for their personal benefits, for whom he asked that they be sanctioned. “Freedom for all those who were only tools for the true traitors”wrote.

For his part, attorney Torrico explained that in the letter sent to the prosecutor Lanchipa and the justice administrators it is requested to know what processes are followed against Jassir Molina, which prosecutors are assigned and to which authorities the request for their abbreviated procedure must be sent.

“Not in all the processes that Mr. Yassir Molina is going through there are elements of conviction or an element of evidence hold him accountable. Some processes have been opened simply to open the process itself. For this reason, the proposal is addressed to the Attorney General and the Ministers of Government and Justice, so that they can make an alternative solution possible,” the jurist told the media.

However, the lawyer specified that the leader of the RJC only will accept his responsibility for the crimes he has committed, Well, he clarified that he is not guilty of everything he is accused of.

The members of the RJC: Jassir Molina, Mario Bascopé, Fabio Bascopé, Milena Soto and Jaime Maldonado are accused of the alleged crimes of criminal organization, deterioration of State assets and national wealth, which allegedly sand committed against the facilities of the State Attorney General’s Office in October 2020.

Currently, Molina is in preventive detention in the San Pedro de Oruro prison, Mario Antonio Bascopé and Fabio Alejandro Bascopé are in the San Roque de Sucre prison, while Milena Sotto and Jaime Maldonado have house arrest in Cochabamba. The indictment was filed in May.

The Chuquisaca Prosecutor’s Office asks for a sentence of 20 years in prison for those accused of the crimes of criminal organization, deterioration of state assets and national wealth, among others.
