Japanese bank seeks to finance projects in the country

Representatives of the MUFG Bank spoke with authorities from the Ministry of Finance in order to present a new project for better financing of water and sanitation, public transport and electric mobility.

Finance Minister Oscar Llamosas and the director of the Japanese financial services company, Ariane Pevide, mentioned that the meeting revolved around how foreign investment could materialize in the country, for areas related to climate change.

The next step in these negotiations will continue with meetings with public companies such as the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) and the Sanitary Services Company of Paraguay SA (Essap). Likewise, a meeting with authorities from the Development Finance Agency (AFD) is planned shortly.
