This Thursday marks 67 years since the overthrow of the dictatorship of Marcos Pérez Jiménez, and in the regions they took to the streets to remember the popular rebellion of that January 23, 1958.
In the state of Barinas, the activity began in the vicinity of the La Carolina stadium to 5 de Julio Street in the capital municipality.
Jacqueline Faria, territorial political liaison of the Psuv, led the march in the company of the civil and military authorities of the entity, as well as the militancy of the red awning, the Great Patriotic Pole and the popular power.
During his speech, Faria highlighted that the people of Barines joined the call to remember and commemorate the popular rebellion of 1958 that rescued true democracy and the sovereignty of the country.
Apure commemorates January 23 with an impressive march
The activity, which took place on Río Apure Avenue, was attended by Governor Wilmer Rodríguez, General Quintero Hernández, the mayor of San Fernando, Ofelia Padrón, as well as deputies from the National and regional Assembly, who highlighted the importance of remember history and defend the achievements of the revolution.
With banners and music, the participants expressed their support for President Nicolás Maduro and their rejection of destabilization attempts.

Hundreds of people flooded the streets of San Felipe, Yaracuy, in a march organized by the revolutionary forces that ended in a collective demonstration in favor of peace.
The activity was characterized by the joy and fervor of those who expressed their clear feelings for peace and family unity, above any political preference. Music, banners with revolutionary messages and expressions in defense of the homeland were the main ingredients throughout the day.
The walk, which began in Plaza Sucre in the San Felipe municipality and concentrated on a platform installed in front of Plaza Bolívar in San Felipe, was led by the state coordinator of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Julio León, and representatives of the parties of the revolutionary forces.
“Here is all of Yaracuy in the street, a town in peace, but at the same time tells the world that we are prepared to defend it and alert in case some should think of going against this sacred soil, our sovereignty and the homeland Make no mistake,” said Julio León Heredia.

Governor Ángel Marcano led the march and recalled that progress in the consolidation of communal power is defined by the actions carried out by President Nicolás Maduro and “totally armored because the revolution is a guarantee of peace and social development.”
