James Rodríguez, one of the referents of the Colombian team, regretted this Wednesday not having qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup while questioning his continuity with the national team.
“I don’t know if I’ll be there or not. What I do know is that it breaks my soul to lose, it makes me uncomfortable not being classified and this can’t happen again,” wrote James, who currently defends the colors of Al Rayyan.
The 30-year-old former Madrid player added that he feels “sad.” “And not only for me, but also for my teammates, who deserve to shine and I know they have how,” referring to the fact that they will not be in Qatar.

James, without naming names, stated his position regarding the directors of the Colombian Football Federation, assuring that “we must plan, join forces and work hard from the administrative and sports aspects to once again show the world the power and talent of our land”.
James, who in the early hours of Wednesday scored the goal from a penalty that gave Colombia the victory over Venezuela (0-1) in the closing of the South American qualifying league for the 2022 World Cup, trusted that later the different teams will win titles.
