Jaime Díaz Quintero Water Treatment Plant will operate at 50% on Monday, September 26

The Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) reported that this Monday, September 26, cleaning work will be carried out on sedimentation tanks #1 and #2 of the Jaime Díaz Quintero water treatment plant in La Chorrera from 8:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon.

Due to this maintenance, IDAAN ensured that the quality of the water is guaranteed and the production of the plant improves, it will operate at 50% of its capacity, affecting the Corregimiento of Barrio Colón with low pressure (with the exception of the Lomas de Mastranto neighborhoods). and Jardines de Mastranto that will not have supply) and lack of supply in the Corregimientos of: Guadalupe, El Coco, Playa Leona and Puerto Caimito in the District of La Chorrera, in turn the Corregimiento Juan Demóstenes Arosemena and part of Vista Alegre in Arraiján District will be without drinking water service.

The necessary measures will be taken to reduce the effects, the hospitals of the District of La Chorrera and Arraiján will be supplied by tank trucks, the institution indicated.

The IDAAN apologized for the inconveniences that occur and urges those affected to take the corresponding measures to avoid shortages.
