MADRID, Spain.- The renowned Cuban actress Jacqueline Arenal celebrated on her social networks the success of the second season of the series Hunch. In this Colombian thriller, Arenal plays Greta Volcán, the mother of Camila (Ana Lucía Domínguez), the protagonist of the series.
“‘Palpito’ 2 sweeps and ranks at the top of Netflix’s Top 10,” said the actress in a post on instagramin which he also shared an image with the actor Mauricio Cujar, who plays his partner, President Braulio Cárdenas.
A week after the premiere of the second installment, “it conquers audiences as the most watched on the streaming giant,” added Jacqueline Arenal, remembered in Cuba for her character as Verena Contreras in the telenovela wild landamong many others.
Numerous professional colleagues took advantage of the publication to congratulate the actress for her performance; among them Laura RamosCarlos Gonzalvo, Laura de la Uz, Tahimí Alvariño and Amarilys Núñez.
Arenal, a very popular face also for the audience in Colombia —the country where he has lived for many years—, prior to the premiere of Hunch 2 had announced: “The time has come, we premiere on April 19 Hunch. This is an emergency call, no heart is safe!”
In the second season, Zacarías Cienfuegos discovers that Camila faked her death to escape from him and devises a plan to try to get her to return; as well as to take revenge on Simón, the husband of the woman they murdered to transplant Camila’s heart.
For her performance in the first season, Jacqueline Arenal was nominated to the Platino Awards in the category of “best supporting actress”.
Directed by Camilo Vega, the series was written by Leonardo Padrón and addresses the issue of organ trafficking in Colombia. Its first part, released on April 20, 2022, was seen by more than 60 million people around the world. The Argentine Michel Brown (Simón Duque) and the Colombians Sebastián Martínez (Zacarías Cienfuegos) and Margarita María Muñoz (Valeria) also take part.
