Iztapalapa is no longer the municipality with the highest perception of insecurity in CDMX

Iztapalapa, home to 1.8 million people, is no longer the municipality with the highest perception of insecurity. In March, the proportion was 72%, and in June, it dropped to 56.9%, placing it in sixth place in the city.

Now this first place is occupied by Xochimilco, where 68.3% of its inhabitants feel unsafe.

Benito Juárez remains the district with the lowest perception of insecurity in the capital, however it registered an increase of almost eight points, going from 11.1% to 18.9%.

While in March it was the safest municipality in the country, in June it fell to fifth place, below San Pedro Garza García (11.7%), Piedras Negras (14.3%), Los Cabos (16.7%) and Los Mochis (18.7%).
