It is the right time for the Government to take more initiatives to promote investments, and provide greater legal and tax security for companies. It is also time to get back on track with economic growth. This is all part of the agenda. APEC for the well-being of our population, and that also means looking inward and being responsible.
In addition, the Chancay megaport has been signed and put into operation, allowing Peru to become a logistics hub in the South Pacific. With the United States, meanwhile, we are talking about an aerospace base in Talara, which means that our country generates an adequate climate to receive foreign investment, wherever it is from, as long as national standards are met.
By having the leaders of the two world powers (the United States and China) in the country, we demonstrate that we do not ally ourselves with one country or another, that we are not from one political axis or another, but that we look at investment as something that It benefits international relations in a balanced way, without preferring one over the other.
APEC gives us the opportunity to raise the issue of organized crime to seek effective international intelligence work. This is a problem and a struggle that affects the entire world and countries. We have to strengthen the National Police of Peru and improve the justice system so that there is no impunity.
It must be taken into account that what is raised in these cooperation agreements are not mandatory topics, but rather peer pressure leads us to improve the agenda. Countries cooperate to reach adequate progress.
The opportunities are open and Peru has a very open policy. In addition to the port of Chancay, we can see projects in aeronautics and services. If there are some adequate regulations, Special Economic Zones could be generated where we can have higher level technology and industries.
