The Government of Buenos Aires made official on Tuesday its adherence to the program to extend the educational day in state-run primary schools created by the Ministry of Education, with which more than 650 schools in the province will add one hour of daily classes and another 261 will spend the day simple to complete.
It did so through resolution 2502 published in the Official Gazette of the district, where it was indicated that in those additional hours Language Practices, Mathematics and Sciences will be taught.

In the resolution, it was emphasized that “the extension of the day to 25 hours of weekly classes will be carried out in all state-managed single-day schools in a position to implement said extension.”

Buenos Aires signed the agreement with the Nation on September 26and there are already 17 provinces that have adhered to the measure promoted by the Ministry of Education to guarantee a minimum floor of 25 hours per week in primary schools, which implies 38 more days of class per year.
The other 16 jurisdictions that began to implement one more hour of class per day in primary schools are Tucumán, Santa Cruz, Chaco, Catamarca, Entre Ríos, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands, Salta, Santa Fe, Corrientes, Río Negro, Formosa, Jujuy, Santiago del Estero, San Juan, Mendoza, and Córdoba.
