“Mr. Mariaca, if you want to stop me, have the pants and you come to arrest me; Come and get me out of my house,” said Rómulo Calvo, president of the Santa Cruz Civic Committee, in a live broadcast of the television program No Lies. The civic indicated that they want to stop him, and addressed those words to the District Attorney, Róger Mariaca.
According to his lawyer Juan Carlos Camacho, they still do not know which of the 13 processes he is facing An arrest warrant would have been issued against Calvo.

“A few vassals of the Government are not going to come and intimidate me” and “It’s going to be hard for them to stop me, damn it!”, were some of the phrases that the civic, who is under house arrest, expressed this Thursday night.
Raising his voice, Calvo denounced: “People are coming to my house, do not provoke, do not heat, everyone is asking for my location and I am going to send them to come and defend their region, to defend the census, to defend Santa Cruz. Some paid men and vassals of the Government are not going to come to intimidate me, it is going to cost them, Santa Cruz is not going to leave, it is greatis strong and is the sentinel of democracy at this time”.
He added that he is in the middle of illegal processes, “with inventions I am in processes for complaints from deputies who say they represent Santa Cruz and the only thing they have done is seek me out. It is as the Minister and the Deputy Minister of Health said, that you have to look for things to keep the doctors incapacitated, that is what has happened to me. But I’m happy to fight for Santa Cruz and I’m going to keep doing it until my strength gives out.”
He ended by saying: “I want to tell everyone, whether they are deputies or senators, to keep putting all the ministries and deputies I tell them that they have a tough nut to crack called Santa Cruz and who knows how to defend himself”.
Two policemen came, after 23:00 on Thursday, to the house of Calvo’s parents, and demanded his presence, however they did not show any order arrest or search. Those who spoke with them were the mother and the civic’s lawyers.
Lieutenant Manzaneda is one of the police officers that Calvo identified and who, according to what he said, left once citizens came to hold a vigil outside his home.
The civic thanked the people for their support and recalled that their fight is for freedom and democracy. This fact is generated four days after the civic strike called by the Committee for Santa Cruzin rejection of the postponement of the Population and Housing Census.
After midnight, Calvo was still meeting with his lawyers.
