The Italian Ministry of Justice has sent its Brazilian counterpart a second extradition request for Robinhoformer Brazilian soccer player who has a pending sentence of nine years in prison in Italy for rape. About the footballer, who also played for Real Madrid, weighs a international arrest warrant since last January.
In february one has already been completed first request of Robinho’s extradition, which was rejected for Brazil. Now Italy has made that request again, which according to experts has few signs of prosperity, every time the extradition is not contemplated in the Constitution of the South American country.
Robinho has not left his native country from autumn 2020, year in which Santos, the club to which he had returned and in which he began his career, terminated his contract after confirming the sentence that was ratified in January of this year after the appeals presented by the player’s defense were dismissed.

The facts that led to the player’s conviction date back to January 22, 2013. Robinho, along with a second person, allegedly raped a 23-year-old Albanian woman after forcing her to drink until she became unconscious, at which time the rape by of the two defendants in a Milan nightclub.
