Veronesi is the author of the novel The coliber (Contemporary Authentic, 2024), recently launched in Brazil, which sold over 20,000 copies in just over a year. The work earned the author a Strega award, the most important in Italy.

He also received the prize for Calm chaos (ROCCO, 2007), a work translated into over twenty countries and adapted to cinema.

“I believe that Veronesi’s success comes from the invention of a prose that is not afraid to encompass various ways of narrating, as well as moving very dexterity and unhappiness, building dense and alive literature,” said party curator Ana Lima Cecílio.

Veronesi is the second confirmed author of the 23rd Flip, which celebrates the public meeting with Brazilian and international writers in the city of Paraty. The participation of Mexican writer Dahlia de La Cerda has also been announced.
