This year Itaipu Binacional offers some 2,000 scholarships for university degrees and 500 for technical degrees, aimed at low-income people. Graduates from both public and private and subsidized schools can apply.
Gerardo Soria, Social Responsibility advisor at Itaipu Binacionalin an interview with Universo 970/Nación Media indicated that of the 2,500 scholarships offered this year, 2,000 are for university courses and the remaining 500 for technical courses.
