The team of prosecutors investigating the crime of Lucio Dupuy, the five-year-old boy murdered last Friday in the pampas city of Santa Rosa, allegedly by his mother and her partner, received the autopsy report confirming that the victim presented Multiple trauma from blows, bites and burns, of old and recent date.
Meanwhile, the Administrative Investigations Prosecutor’s Office (FIA) of La Pampa asked the provincial Ministry of Health for a report on the child’s admissions to different hospitals and health centers in that city, since, according to the medical history, five times in three months due to injuries, some of them serious.
Judicial sources informed Télam that this request, made by the prosecutor Juan Carlos Carola, is based on the number of times that Lucio entered health centers with different injuries, some serious, without any complaint being registered by the intervening health authorities.
One of the prosecutors that is part of the team created especially to investigate the crime, Walter Martos, reiterated this Tuesday what had already been officially released from the Pampean Judicial Power: “Within the scope of the Public Prosecutor’s Office or in the Gender, Childhood and Adolescence Unit, there is no formal complaint of abuse against Lucio.”
Lucio’s medical history
However, in the child’s medical history it appears that on the 15th of December 2020 he was treated for “upper limb trauma” at Hospital Evita and on the 18th of that same month, at Hospital Molas, where he was diagnosed “fracture at the level of the wrist and hand”.
Also that on 22 January 2021 He was taken to the Río Atuel neighborhood post, where the doctors confirmed “upper limb trauma”, while on February 1 he returned to Hospital Evita for a “code T14-1”, that is, a trauma to the body.
Finally, on the 23rd of last March he was diagnosed in the Hospital Evita “mallet finger”, a deformity in the finger that is caused by a bone fracture of the distal phalanx.
The injuries that Lucio suffered long before the murder were now ratified by the coroner Juan Carlos Toulouse, who in the autopsy referred to bites, burns and blows of old and recent date and this Monday assured Télam that In his almost 30 years of profession, he “never” saw anything like it.
Likewise, the autopsy confirmed that the cause of The child’s death was the result of “multiple trauma” in different parts of the body and “internal bleeding.”
Now, from the FIA they are trying to establish the reasons why the medical authorities did not make the corresponding complaints and the child was not assisted and put under shelter by some organism of the provincial State.

Lucio died on Friday night the 26th after being beaten and for the crime they were his mother, Magdalena Espósito Valenti (24) and her partner Abigail Páez (27) arrestedwho are under preventive prison, the first accused of “homicide qualified by the link” and the second for “simple homicide”.
Judge Daniel Ralli intervenes in the case, who ordered that both remain behind bars while the case is being investigated and until they are put to trial.
The women are currently housed in the Penitentiary Complex 1 of the city of San Luis, since they were taken from La Pampa after the violent incidents recorded last Sunday night in the 6th section. from Santa Rosa where they were imprisoned.
About the accused
Prosecutor Martos explained that both were investigated last Saturday, the day after the murder, and that then the hearing to formalize the accusation was held, in which at the request of the prosecution and by decision of the judge, they were placed under preventive detention for 90 days, period during which the case will be instructed to be brought to trial.
Martos said that the cause began last Friday when Lucio “practically arrived lifeless” at the Evita hospital, where he died “despite all the resuscitation maneuvers that were carried out on him.”
“From that moment on, the mother and her partner are arrested and the entire procedure is carried out, with the investigation, the formalization of the charges and the order of preventive detention until the end of the process,” he summarized.
Regarding the accused, the judicial official said that the legal classification of the crimes they are charged with will vary according to the elements they find.
Martos reported that they have already inspected the home in which Lucio lived with the accused, from where elements were kidnapped that will later be determined whether or not they contribute to the investigation.
