According to the Colombian Geological Service, The seismic event was recorded at 7:52 pm and was of magnitude 5.1. The epicenter was the municipality of Tarazá, Antioquia, and had a shallow depth (less than 30 km).
Through social networks, several people reported that the tremor was felt quite strong in Medellín, where some buildings moved abruptly. Even, Some citizens of Bogotá and Bucaramanga claimed to have felt it.

After this strong earthquake, the Colombian Geological Service reported that a reply was filed. This new seismic event was of magnitude 3.0 and was recorded at 7:57 p.m. The epicenter once again was the municipality of Tarazá.

On the other hand, around 7:05 pm this Wednesday there was another earthquake with epicenter in Matanza, Santander, which had a magnitude of 3.0.
