The Zile Foundation (FZ) deplored the incidents that occurred with Haitian migrants in the City Juan Boschand regretted that an official investigation has not been carried out in this regard.

He indicated that, since the sad incident, small groups have developed a hate campaign against Haitians, and, in particular, residents of the housing complex, who are urged to leave the place, stating that “those apartments belong to Dominicans.” .
He stated that given the serious threats that there have been in CJB against the Haitian community since then, “by extremist groups”, it is urgent that the National Migration Council call an extraordinary meeting to coordinate with the interested organisms of the Conditionthe safety and protection of Haitian immigrants and their property in residential and the rest of the country”.

He also suggested creating, with the technical support of the National Migration Institute (INM), a special commission to initiate an open dialogue on the subject, reactivate the Mixed Bilateral Commissionto follow up on the crucial issues discussed by the presidents of both nations in January 2021, and create another specialized in migration issues in the Congressdue to the importance of the topic for the Dominican Republic.

The FZ stressed that the events occur in a very delicate binational political and migratory context, which worries the international community, such as the tightening of measures and the increase in repatriations, operations in hospitals against pregnant women and a bilateral transport stoppage due to kidnappings.
