Luis SuárezUruguayan striker of the Inter Miamiapologized this Thursday for spitting a member of the Seattle Sounders coaching staff when losing the final of the CUP Leagues this last Sunday by 3-0. “It is not the image that I want to facing my family, who suffers from my mistakes, or in front of my club, which does not deserve to be affected by something like that,” Suarez said in a statement broadcast on his social networks.
The Uruguayan said “to feel bad about what happened” and said that defeat in that final meant “a moment of great tension and frustration.” “As soon as the game ended, things that should not have happened, but that does not justify the reaction I had. I was wrong and sorry sincerely,” Suárez said. “I want to apologize for my behavior,” he added.
