Given the decision of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF) to stop the activities of its evaluation committee of aspiring judges, in compliance with an appeal for protection, President Claudia Sheinbaum considered that this procedure openly contravenes the resolution of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF), which determined the unviability of the amparos in this process, since it was in the electoral field.
He reported that after learning of this determination, he consulted Arturo Zaldívar, former president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, with whom he agreed that the appeal ordering the suspension of activities was not appropriate. The Court would not have to respond to this protection; In the opinion of Minister Zaldívar, we leave with the resolution of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation, which had already established that in electoral matters these protections are not appropriate.
During the morning, the president pointed out that consultations are also being held with the Senate, which would be the body that should address doubts and differences regarding the judicial election.
The decision in the PJF is due to compliance with a definitive suspension granted by the first district court, based in Michoacán, which requires these activities to stop until said precautionary measure is revoked or modified. The appeal for protection was promoted by the National Association of Circuit Magistrates and District Judges of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (Jufed).
Sheinbaum reported that in the evaluation committee of the Executive Branch they are working with only four of its five members, because Javier Quijano Baz has not gone to the meetings due to health problems.
