Robby Rovira, National Director of Maintenance of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) said that they will minimize potholes on main roads, 50 million have been requested, and in 2024, 15 million will be invested in street patching and the drainage system.
We do not have the budget, the one for 2024 is exhausted; in addition to the fact that there is a lot of damaged equipment, he pointed out that in three months we will have an improvement that will be noticed on the roads nationwide.
He stressed that the MOP’s operational staff is very small in terms of crews, there are no light vehicles and there could be 40% of the total fleet available, he explained.
