Users reported the drop since the early hours of this Monday.
News Colombia.
On the morning of this Monday, October 20, thousands of Bancolombia users reported difficulties accessing the mobile application and carrying out online transactions. The problem affected both people and companies, preventing movements such as transfers, bill payments or simple balance inquiries.
From the early hours of the day, social networks were filled with messages from frustrated users who could not access Mi Bancolombia.
“An unexpected error has occurred in the transaction, please try again”, is the message that appears when trying to enter.
Faced with the wave of reports, the banking entity publicly acknowledged the inconveniences. Through its official account on X, Bancolombia explained that the failure not only affected its application, but also other online services for people.
“Some of our branches are also without service. You can withdraw money at our ATMs and correspondents and pay with cards at points of sale,” the entity published.
The bank explained that the situation originated from an interruption in the services of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a technological platform that supports part of its digital infrastructure.
“It is due to a failure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) that impacted us. We are very sorry. We hope to be back very soon,” Bancolombia said.

Despite the inconvenience, the bank assured that some channels continue to operate normally.
“If you can use our Virtual People Branch, withdraw money at our ATMs and correspondents and pay with credit and debit cards at points of sale,” they noted.
Meanwhile, users expect service to be fully restored during the day, as many rely on the platform to make work payments, business transactions and everyday errands.
