“A violation of the principle of separation of powers, through the irregular exercise of the powers provided for in the Constitution, would entail an imminent danger both for the institutions that guarantee democracy and for the fundamental rights of the people,” reads the FLAM statement.
Furthermore, the FLAM considered that these types of statements “stain the honor of judges” and recalled that the Presidency of the Judiciary He also expressed his rejection, pointing out that “two judges were murdered in recent weeks.” The Lima Bar Association joined in this condemnation, in defense of judicial institutions.
“We reject any statement that represents an attack on the independence of the Judiciary and the Public Ministry, invoking and urging respect for the principles of independence and balance of powers,” the statement states.
The regional union pointed out that access to justice is an essential human right and that the independence and autonomy of the Judiciary and the Public Ministry are pillars for the powers to be balanced. CAL rejected Rospigliosi’s expressions
He Lima Bar Association (CAL) expressed his forceful rejection of the statements of the interim president of Congress, Fernando Rospigliosi Capurro, who during his exhibition in CADE Executives 2025 proposed “sweeping the judicial system” as part of a supposed reform of the justice system.
