Israel questions the composition of a Gaza Peace Council body announced by Trump

Israel announced on Saturday that it is questioning the composition of a Gaza Peace Council body announced by US President Donald Trump, which includes Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and a senior Qatari official.

“The announcement of the composition of the Gaza Steering Committeewhich depends on the Peace Council [instalado por Trump]was not coordinated with Israel and goes against its policy,” said a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
